The museum can also be opened at other times by prior arrangement with the secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The museum is in the historic old Bright Railway Station. The museum also has rolling stock typical of that used on the old Ovens Valley Railway.
The museum covers railway history, gold mining history and also covers the social history of the area along with local family histories and a photographic collection.
A large number of Chinese miners worked in the gold fields and the museum has a reconstructed Chinese Joss House based on the one destroyed in the Buckland valley, and has a collection of artefacts from Chinese Miners and some of these artefacts are currently on display in our main display room.
